Software projects often go wrong before any code is written. Discovery is where we take that risk off the table.
The brief is usually vague and the estimate is really a guess, so the price keeps moving once the work is underway. Discovery replaces that with focused work up front, as little as a couple of meetings for a simple project and longer for a larger one: we sit with your team to map the workflow and pin down the outcome you are after.
Then we write down exactly what the first release covers and attach a fixed price to it, with a plan for how the build runs. You decide what happens next with real information in front of you instead of a sales pitch.
There is no obligation to continue. If the work says the project is not worth building, we tell you, and you have found that out for a fixed, predictable cost rather than halfway through a build.

What Discovery costs
Discovery is a fixed fee you pay to scope the project. It is separate from the cost of building it, and it is credited against the build if you build with us. The fee depends on the size of what we are scoping, and most fall into one of three shapes.
Simple
A single, well-defined workflow or product area, scoped and prototyped in one focused Discovery sprint.
Complex
Multiple workflows, user types, or integrations; deeper research and more prototyping to de-risk the build.
Multi-stage
Large scope delivered in phases; Discovery broken into multiple 2–6 week chunks, each with its own blueprint.
The Discovery fee is fixed and quoted up front on the overview call. The build price comes with your blueprint at handover, and the blueprint is yours to use with any developer.
