How we handle your information.
This site collects very little about you — mostly just what you type into the contact form. This page sets out what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how to ask us to change or delete it.

Who we are
This website is run by Techfluent Pty Ltd (ABN 45 679 144 506), trading as Techfluent Systems. We are a small software consultancy based in Brisbane, QLD.
We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). If you have a question about this policy or about information we hold, email us at hello@techfluent.com.au.
What we collect
The only place we actively collect personal information on this site is the contact form. When you send an enquiry we collect your name, your email address and the message you write. You can also choose to give us your company name, phone number and a project type, but those fields are optional.
Our host also keeps standard server logs for a short period — your IP address, browser type (user agent) and the time of each request. These help us keep the site running and spot abuse.
We use Google Analytics to see how the site is used. That is covered under Cookies and analytics below.
Why we collect it
We use your contact details and message to read and respond to your enquiry. If we go on to work together, we use the same information to set up and deliver the engagement.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. It loads with analytics storage switched off by default. Google Analytics only stores cookies or identifiers on your device after you select Allow in the notice shown on your first visit. If you select Decline, Google Analytics stores no cookies or identifiers and no usage is associated with you. To change your choice, clear this site’s data in your browser. Google Analytics is provided by Google and is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.
The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to reduce spam and automated submissions. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information and sends it to Google for analysis; its use is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Aside from Google Analytics, the site sets only the cookies it needs to work, such as remembering your analytics choice and protecting the contact form.
How we store and protect it
Contact form enquiries are emailed to our business inbox and stored there. We keep them only as long as we need to: to handle your enquiry, and for the life of any engagement that follows. Then we delete them. Server logs are cleared on a short cycle.
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including access controls and encrypted connections. No website or email system is ever completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Third parties
We share personal information with a small number of providers who help us run the business:
- Crazy Domains, our email and website hosting provider, which stores enquiry emails and server logs.
- Google, which provides Google Analytics and reCAPTCHA as described above.
We do not disclose your personal information to anyone else, except where we are required or authorised to by law.
Overseas disclosure
Some of our providers, Google in particular, may store or process data on servers outside Australia. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to keep the information protected to a standard consistent with the APPs.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@techfluent.com.au and we will respond within a reasonable time. There is no charge to ask.
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, please raise it with us first at that address so we can try to put it right. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can make a complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as our tools or obligations change. The current version is always the one on this page, and the date below shows when it last changed.
